Umbraco vs Drupal
Umbraco is an open-source CMS (Content Management System), which means you get access to its source code, which is available from their GitHub repository. They also provide a framework which you can install on your own server and use in your own projects. This gives you control over your site but may not be the best fit for your specific needs. Its biggest drawback, however, is that it is not the most user-friendly option for the average developer. It is often used for larger websites because it can handle more traffic and has a steeper learning curve than Joomla. Umbraco 9 is also known for its flexibility and powerful features.
Nevertheless, Umbraco has a lot going for it – and there are lots of reasons why people choose it over Drupal.
Drupal has become very popular thanks in part to its scalability (i.e., how easy it is to add new features). Features like these mean that many people feel they need the biggest possible CMS platform at their disposal – and because Drupal can scale well beyond what some smaller CMS platforms can manage, this gives it an advantage over others in this respect too. The downside of this advantage is that if you want something different from what most other systems offer then you will need one of these larger platforms rather than using one of them yourself using just your own custom code. This can be somewhat prohibitive if you want something more advanced than what most people are going to use anyway! So again, we see why Drupal “has its place” – and why lots more companies are adopting it.
